The blurb makes the man

I’ve got MySpace straightened out, finally.

I recently learned that scientists put cheerful stickers on the foreheads of babies to test for self-recognition. The baby looks in the mirror, blushes, and touches their own bestickered forehead. This teaches the baby an important lesson: people will try to ambush you with cheerfulness. Later they will call this “having a positive attitude.” MySpace isn’t a perfect mirror, but I do see a little of myself in that profile now.

Plus, the little advertising executive inside me is pleased that the two crucial blurbs (“About Why I’m So Awesome” and “My Ruthless Social Demands”) are shorter.

I have to go. I’m expected at a bonfire. Have a superfine Saturday night.
