It’s springtime here at TWFB
So, we’re ringing in the new around here with a new look. Damn, I hate to see the Gothic black go. It just felt right. I kept planning to write the one sentence to rule them all — you know, something like “YOU ARE NOT YOUR JOB” — and then just sit back and let the revolution happen.
But the reality is that a lot of exciting things have happened this summer, and this year, and I think it’s time to bid adieu to the layout that says “My real name is Yul Brynner, and if you’re reading this post, I’m already dead.”
I owe the final straw to a letter delivered via myspace from a dearly missed friend, who writes: “I had a little trouble with the white on black formatting. It creates these alternating bands of white and black that extend out past the text and kindof wiggle back and forth.”
Admittedly, this kind of textual psychedelia is basically my game plan for the whole blog, but I thought changing the layout would be a nice way to honor one of the funniest crazy people I happen to know.
